Augusta Storm Soaked Kitchen

The open window allowed a torrential rainfall to soak the floor, walls, and fixtures in this Augusta home. When discovered upon returning from being away, a wise homeowner calls SERVPRO to mitigate the already alarming damage to this kitchen. The flood seeped under and lifted the vinyl floor tiles losing their adhesion and needing to be discarded. The soaked sheetrock was weakened, and we did a small controlled demolition to limit the replacement area along with the cost for the customer. The pictured LGR dehumidifier along with an air mover is capturing the remaining moisture from the surfaces and the water vapor. We strive to restore and not replace, but removing non-salvageable building materials is the best option here — count on us to do what is right for the customer, every time.
